Families and Guests to the Smoky Mountains anxiously await the Festival of Trees which comes each year at Thanksgiving time. Many families find this is a wonderful tradition to kick off the holiday season. Thousands of twinkling lights and decorations, trees to delight all ages and fantasies, craft projects for kids and even Santa are a part of what makes this celebration so very special.
The Grace Luncheon kicks off this wonderful event each year the Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving. Tickets to this event are available at the SMARM office at 908-3153. After the luncheon is served the event is kicked off with the traditional Highlands Bagpiper as he opens the area by procession for all to enjoy. Children will enjoy the crafts area and you can marvel at the Gingerbread Houses that are entered for prizes by families, chefs, businesses and more. |
How does SMARM benefit from this event? Through Tree Sponsorships and by donations made by families who attend.
If your family and friends would like to attend simply come to the Gatlinburg Convention Center and enjoy the festivities. All donations received benefit the Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries.
