The Need

Large numbers of residents are just one paycheck away from true homelessness.

•  About 7,000 of the 76,000 residents of Sevier County receive public assistance.
•  51% of our school children are on free or assisted meal programs.
•  Over 2,000 people came to us for assistance last year, and 90% of them were families.  Many are in need of emergency support such as shelter, utility bill payment, rent supplements, car repairs, gasoline, food, clothing and most importantly, Christian counseling.

Our Response

•  We screen all applicants to ensure the need is justified.
•  We provide Christian counseling to assure them that they can find emotional support through faith in Christ.
•  We provide emergency assistance to help meet their needs and refer them to other sources of help when needed.
•  We provide recovery services that often allow the family to become productive and self-sufficient members of our community again.
